Who we are and what we represent:

Hello all and welcome to Awareness With Hope. I am the owner and founder of (AwarenessWithHope.org), My inspiration came to me when my own daughter was born in the spring of 2010 with an extremely rare (1 in 1 million) genetic disorder called Bart-Socas Papas Syndrome. They placed her in the NICU - Neo natal intensive care unit. I recall seeing all of the babies in there with a variety of different types of birth defects and disorders. Many of them being rare genetic disorders. As I sat there, I wished that there was a way that I could do something even if it was just to outreach and let others know they are not alone. As time grew, my daughter grew older. With each difficult step, each mountain climbed, and milestones hit, I watched and wondered. How can her story help someone else? Can we share her hardships and accomplishments to help another? Like most good ideas, they normally start with “wouldn’t it be good if.” For me, the end of that sentence said, “there is a way & lets make it happen!" Even if I cannot cure them, I can start up something to help by bringing awareness so that we as a whole can share stories of inspiration, give others hope & encouragement. All you need is a curious mind to keep your eyes and ears open for ways to lend a hand. This is where AwarenessWithHope all began. The world needs people like you and I to come together. People that strive to help others live dreams, do amazing things and not become just a brand name! That is what we strive to do here at AwarenessWithHope.org. We were told that our daughter would not make it when she was born. She has been told her whole life that she would not be able to live a long life, walk or do many things because of her disorder. Growing up she was told by doctors that she would not hit her baby milestones, be able to go without her feeding tube the rest of her life, make it past her 1st birthday or be able to roller skate when she was a kid! But she did it! She proved them wrong! Every single person that ever told her you can't because of your disorder, every doctor, family member, friend, nurse, therapist, teacher you name it! Throughout her lifetime, time and time again she proved them wrong. We are here to not just bring awareness, but we strive to motivate and inspire one another! Just because you or your loved one has a disorder does not mean that he or she does not deserve to live a happy life and achieve great things big or small! You are not a brand name, you are human! A human that deserves the best life possible no matter what others have to say! Remember, you or your family members disorder is a helpful hand to someone else in need. Whether it is a new discovery for a treatment, diagnosis, inspiration, or making a friend, or by sharing your story with others. You are a blessing in disguise, you have purpose, you deserve the best and always remember that! Thank you for reading more about us and feel free to share!
